Andrew Ondrejcak is a stage director and production designer.
Plays include FATHERLAND (2010), WONDER/LUST (2009); Treachery of Image: Beckett’s Catastrophe, Pinter’s Night, Churchill’s This Is A Chair (2008); Seven Woes of a Libra Prophet (2007); Akropolis or The Prototype (2007).
Andrew worked alongside Robert Wilson at The Watermill Center and on KOOL (2009-10) at the Guggenheim Museum. In 2010, Andrew performed at the Museum of Modern Art as part of The Artist Is Present, a retrospective of the performance artist, Marina Abramović.
Designwork includes set and production design for runway shows and fashion photoshoots. Photographers include Jeff Bark, Sophie Delaporte, Sebastian Faena, Sebastian Kim, Christophe Kutner, Peter Lindbergh, Greg Lotus, Alexi Lubomirski, Ryan McGinley, Katja Rahlwes, Claus Wickrath; for Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar, 3.1 Phillip Lim, La Perla, Muse, Vena Cava, VMan.
Andrew lectures at the Museum of Modern Art, where he focuses on programs for visitors with special needs. He is a teaching artist the Roundabout Theater Company.
Born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; studied painting and architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
